How many more little girls need to die?
In light of this tragedy,
I want to ask something else.
How many quivering daughters die everyday?
How many daughters of patriarchy have already died on the inside?
How many young women, present in body, hide hearts
which suffer death of a different kind?
How many women
want to die?
want to die?
Try to die?
How many spirits, broken, fall into early graves?
Perhaps as others rise up
we can also remember those who are dead
while they're still alive.
So you, by the help of your God, return;
Observe mercy and justice,
And wait on your God continually.
Hosea 12:6
He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the LORD require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?
And what does the LORD require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8

My thoughts exactly... death is a slow process that is not limited to the physical.
ReplyDeleteI think things like this whenever I see the Duggar's four eldest girls on tv. What life do they get to have?
