Quivering Daughters : Hope and Healing for the Daughters of Patriarchy
Thanks, Eric and Meg!!! <3 Rebecca, good to see you! Actually this isn't my face; it is my friend but we've been told we look alike and people always ask if we are sisters. :-) Hugs!
Wow! I love the cover. Is this the same girl in an earlier post? With the coloring of the photo, with the child looking down, with what she's wearing, with her holding the bear, with her wearing a white gown, to the season I'm sure is by no accident. Much thought, time, love, counsel, & prayer has gone into this & the cover says so much about what is inside this book so finish already so I begin reading it!!! I'm so proud of you! <3 ((hugs)) You are my hero!
As an occasional lurker, I am pleased that this book will be released soon, as I am looking forward to reading it. As others have stated, the cover is simply lovely. It's obvious that you have worked long and hard on this project.
I also want to add that you are a brave woman to write such a book like this that is very controversial as well as a "taboo" to talk about "in public." I'm not as brave as you are. Maybe some day I will be . . .
Anonymous...thank you for stopping by and taking the time to delurk for a moment! :-) Thank you for your kind words, although brave is not a word that I'd use for myself. When I began this blog (and book, for that matter) I had no idea what would result...or how long I would continue. It hasn't been easy for many reasons but the Lord has been gracious and when the way grows difficult, He often sends lovely encouragement such as yours to refresh me. Blessings to you.
AWESOME cover design! I'm really excited for you!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful. The stuffed animal is a good reminder of the youth and vulnerability of many of these girls.
ReplyDeletelook at you! I recognize that name (and face!)
ReplyDeleteWow.
